North Royalton school board authorizes possible layoffs of bus drivers, building cleaners

Brecksville may connect Old Town Hall and annex building to help theater groups

Brecksville will pay Glen D. Ramage Architect Inc. in Broadview Heights $5,800 to design a building connection between Old Town Hall and the neighboring Old Town Hall Annex on Public Square. Old Town Hall is home to Brecksville Little Theatre and Brecksville Theater on the Square, both of which have requested more room. Service Director Ron Weidig said the two theater groups are merging. Brecksville-Broadview Heights school board signs new contract with teachers' union

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights school board and teachers' union have signed a new collective bargaining agreement that includes a complex web of real and potential wage increases. The two-year contract is retroactive to July 1, 2016 and runs through June 30, 2018. However, if voters approve a property tax increase for the schools before June 30, 2018, the contract would automatically extend to June 30, 2021.
